At The Limitless 84, Jordan Lydia offers an authentic journey through the Bishnu Ghosh 84 Series, guided by her extensive expertise. She has been practicing the series since 2012 and teaching it since 2017, after completing Esak Garcia’s first e84 Teacher Training. Her mentorship in leading the 84 Series was further strengthened by Whitney McCormick’s guidance. Since 2017, Jordan Lydia has also worked closely with Kim Tang, a highly ranked coach and judge for USA Yoga and the International Yoga Sports Federation. Kim Tang’s mastery of therapeutic biomechanics for advanced asanas has deeply influenced Jordan Lydia's teaching approach, with her intuitive wisdom flowing through Jordan Lydia's embodiment. Jordan Lydia is also a registered eRYT-500 hr teacher. Jordan Lydia feels that the 84 series is her base practice now.
Based in Seattle, WA, Jordan has built one of the most consistent and sustainable in-person 84 communities in the world. In addition, to healing her spine from scoliosis, she has gone on to become a two-time USAYoga silver medalist and has ranked in the top ten globally twice now.
Drawing on her deep devotion to the lineage, Jordan Lydia teaches the 84 in a combination that practice that combines intensity and play, compassion and challenge, and a little humor, a good practice is like a play, but played seriously.
Through her guidance, students and now teacher trainees are encouraged to engage fully with the practice, cultivating integrity, self-mastery, and devotion while mastering the 84 postures. At the end of this training you will be fully qualified to lead the 84 series with confidence.
Additionally, a "deep" asana practice is not required, the quality of your mind and heart are more essential; the willingness to try, the ability to listen to your body and discern, and the reverence for the lineage.
Please note that this training is specifically designed for leading the 84 Series, also known as the "Advanced" Series. This is not an Intermediate Teacher Training. While the Intermediate Series will not be the main focus of this program, you will be qualified to lead it by extension. Additionally, you will be provided with sample outlines as examples to help guide your understanding.
Jordan Lydia's agreement to you:
"I honor to respect you as an individual, offering my complete knowledge, passion, and devotion to the practice. I commit to engaging with you as a sovereign, balancing the challenge of the practice with compassion."
Supporting Staff:
The Original 84 Boss, Whitney McCormick
Whitney McCormick was Jordan Lydia's 84 mentor and played a pivotal role in shaping Jordan’s understanding of the practice. It was Whitney who first introduced Jordan Lydia to the concept that the dialogue is its own language—one that can be mixed and adapted, almost like a blend, to guide the 84. Whitney emphasized that the dialogue represents a language unique to our people, and that the 84 could truly function as both a lead and a taught class.
Over the years, Whitney and Jordan have developed a strong bond, spending countless hours in deep conversation—often over long discussions about whether or not the asana “compass” should be included in the 84. ;)
Whitney opened Bikram Yoga U-District in Seattle in 2013, which later evolved into District
Yoga. Through this transformation, he maintained a studio that was both unique and deeply
rooted in traditional Bikram Yoga. Bikram UD/District adhered closely to the original Bikram
guidelines, featuring carpets, alignment lines, a podium, and a Madonna headset in the yoga
room.
Whitney's journey with Bikram Yoga began in 2004 when he completed his teacher training. He
also holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Western Washington University.
Since 2004, he has taught yoga extensively across North America, including Vancouver, San
Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and Texas. His teaching experience extends internationally,
with stints in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Austria, Turkey, Australia, Thailand, and Korea—likely
more places he’s forgotten to count.
Throughout his yoga career, Whitney has remained steadfast in his commitment to Bikram’s
philosophy. He continues to teach using the traditional dialogue method, embracing the
principle: "If it’s not broken, don’t fix it."
After closing his studio in early 2018, Whitney designed and led multiple 26&2 teacher trainings,
staying as true to Bikram’s original training approach as possible. He also played a key role in
revitalizing Seattle’s yoga community by regularly offering the 84 Asana class, which became a
major focus of his practice.
*Please note that housing, transportation, meals, and other similar expenses are not included in the tuition fee. Kindly remember that this is a clocked hour program, and we ask that you attend all sessions on time, as absences and tardiness can affect your progress. The listed hours represent the time you'll spend directly with a staff member, but students are also encouraged to dedicate time both before and during the training to study the assigned texts and teaching dialogues on their own. Program completion is based on individual progress and merit. Please note that payment does not guarantee a completion certificate, and completing the program does not automatically secure a teaching position at a studio.
